BREXIT Communication to EU Suppliers of CNH Industrial N.V. in the United Kingdom

Dear Supplier,

While there is still no certainty around what Brexit will mean, CNH Industrial realizes the need to have robust contingency plans in place. These plans will allow us to be sufficiently flexible, enabling us to adapt and effectively manage our supply chains under various scenarios.

Additionally, the UK is implementing a new electronic customs declaration system, which is scheduled to be launched in 2019. Please note, even if the UK has a free-trade agreement with the EU, customs clearance may still be necessary.

Among our key initiatives is the automation of customs clearance for our inbound flows. Such automation is expected to reduce the amount of manual data input that is currently required when elaborating Import customs declarations. This automation will not only help to significantly reduce the time this process takes, but also limit or even remove completely the associated risk of errors. Of course, this will also help to mitigate the impact of the increased delivery time, as well as support possible customs simplifications.

To achieve this, we are developing a program solution that will automatically load supplier invoice data into the software that is currently used to submit customs declarations. In order to be able to load this information efficiently, we need your help. Please provide us all invoice/shipping data in EXCEL format using the data layout template specified in the attached Excel File named “IM_File_UK”.

Along with this excel file we also will require scanned copies of all standard documentation for customs clearance, mainly:

  • Invoice with the goods description (must include part number code).
  • Packing list.
  • Transport documents (bill of lading, AWB, CMR, T1) which includes indication of freight costs.

The above documents, together with the Excel format file “IM_File_UK” will need to be sent by email to the following E-mail address: sadi_cnhiuk_info@fcagroup.com

The Excel file and the listed documents as specified above must be produced and sent with every shipment coming from the EU to the UK after March 29, 2019.

We will continue to monitor the negotiations and advise and follow up with final directions and indications in the following weeks.

Should you have any queries linked to the information requested in the “IM_File_UK” document/ICT protocols, do not hesitate to contact sadi_cnhiuk_info@fcagroup.com

For other general issues you can contact your CNH Industrial commodity manager.

Thank you for your collaboration and best regards,

CNH Industrial EMEA Purchasing
